Analysts give us information. We use this information to further research a company, to compare it with other views, look back to the company to see how both sets of information compare, and at times we learn something about the company we had missed along the way.

What we take from that analyses varies from person to person depending on such things as our financial situation, the health of our portfolio as a whole, our individual investment strategies. The fact is some just believe in the science, others are willing to see it through to the end regardless of the outcome, some make money out of its volatility, some have faith in management etc. etc.

Any real information bought to the table is interesting at the very least. Someone once said "information is Power".
