A chart is history of a stock and cannot be ignored. It shows the character of the stock, how it performs in its sector and whether it is underperforming or in the leading pack. There is very little new in this world so you can quickly see what is likely to happen to a stock in the coming weeks. If you cannot see anything, don't dream it up; I think a lot of people fall in love with a stock or sector, and come unstuck. Sometimes the best decision is to close the computer and do a spot of gardening!!
