mankind has been made in the likeness or image of God. Seeing as we all look different this likeness must refer to the soul.

To understand what it means to be in God's image please consider these Scriptures.
(Colossians 3:9, 10) Do not be lying to one another. Strip off the old personality with its practices,?and clothe yourselves with the new [personality], which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One who created it,
An accurate understanding of God's qualities can enable a person to reflect God's personality. Ephesians 5:1
Jesus who perfectly reflected God's personality could say:"Whoever has seen me has seen the Father also." John14:9
