Genesis and other creation stories are poetic......but we can take something from these stories and reduce it to one cold hard scientific question.....Did consciousness arise from the universe or did the universe arise from consciousness?? The traditional hard nosed militant atheistic belief is based in a Newtonian concept of time and understandably concludes that consciousness arose from the universe. But we know that the Newtonian concept of time is an illusion. Whilst considering space time as a whole does not prove that the universe arose from consciousness it does leave the door open for the possibility. This possibility is worthy of consideration and should not be so easily dismissed as foolishness.
