So how would you go about getting an agoraphobic back to work?
Seriously though, we have to expect tan uptick in the numbers given that the pension age keeps receding. For the female population this has been significant from 60 to 70 years now, and who really knows where this will end.
One person in every twenty working age doesn't seem all that high when you consider that this will include all those born with serious disabilities, as well as all those gained along the way via workplace injuries, as well as misadventure in other areas of life.
For every death at work there has to be significantly higher numbers of injuries. Nursing for example, has always been noted for back injuries, however now they have to contend with an aggressive and often violent public, as well as 12 hour shifts, excluding breaks. Hospital bureaucracies may expect nurses to go beyond their duty of care towards the public, however the bureaucracies do nothing to support their nursing staff.
Push a person far enough and they will end up on the scrapheap of life either mentally or physically incapacitated.
