Depends on how your play bear trading... it certainly hasn't been the season for long term bears but shorting at the right time when xjo is weak can still pay off nicely. I play stocks long and futures short as a preferred strategy lately, so the stocks hedge my bear roasting if it happens but the shorts protect my stocks if the market subsides - if my timing is right, and I if don't goof up. The concept works but sometimes my trading lets me down. Overall its working nicely atm.
