Can't blame GLE for trying. I'm fairly confident (though clearly biased) in the fact patterns I see here. GLE is exerting a fair amount of pressure and leverage on the DOE to play ball on Paducah. If GLE walks away from Paducah, who else would be willing to invest in Paducah with current SWU prices? Maybe there were other applicants a year and half ago, or whenever the RFP came out, but I would find it hard to believe that if Paducah is barely commercially viable for GLE using Silex (which is a lower cost solution in terms of build-out AND per unit costs than any other existing technology), then it can't make sense for any other firm.

The only thing that scares me is if GLE is ready to walk if they don't get unreasonable concessions from the DOE. GLE may assume they can revisit negotiations in a few years if and when uranium prices start recovering.

Who knows - but at this point, there is no risk in holding. The broader market may be weakening, so the opportunity costs are not that bad for holding SLX instead of other stocks. The market cap may only be marginally higher than cash right now, once divestitures are completed. So there isn't really a whole lot of room to drop from here. I continue to believe as a last resort, SLX could sell their license back to GLE, which should get $100M at a minimum and double the current stock price. So as a potential investment from this point forward, the reward vs. risk is immense.
