Agreed, History had it bad for the Aboriginal people. Injustice and horror from the govt of the time was rampantly
    faced by them.

But since the last few decades that has changed. They have been given opportunities above and beyond the
    non aboriginal Australian.

How has that fared. Not very good IMO. Their basic mentality has not changed much, and future generations of
aboriginal people seem to be travelling the same path.

Welfare is not a help, its an Axe into the development of the recipient and their future generations.

The govts in power do not seem to be learning, probably very well aware, but the vote bank or bad publicity is taking precedence
over the future of the aboriginals, and the non aboriginals on welfare.

Their simple rule is to tax the hard workers and pay the ones who are not working.

    Sad.

So the rules need to be changed. Welfare more sensible.
They could ponder on the below.
    * Dole is only payable for 2 years
    * Benefits capped at 2 kids. Do not produce more if you cannot afford them. Do not expect others to pay for your kids.
    * Food Coupons only, no cash to spend on Booze etc.
    * Govt housing to be stopped after 2 years, give other deserving people a chance too.
    * Voting rights taken away, if you do not pay tax (exception Elderly & Disabled for above too)

    * Govt spending should be scrutinized, and questions asked, when they spend 300% to 400% more on a
    project than required.

    * Taxes could be reduced by just the above.

Everyone wants to contribute from their income towards the less fortunate, but there is a limit to it.
If there are some who feel more should be done, they they can contribute over and above their taxes.
Do not put your hand in my pocket whenever you decide to buy votes.
