A few thoughts about Fintech

When you look around the tech RTO space you see a lot of niche / offbeat plays - that are hard to grasp if you are not directly involved in that space - consider FIE, DUO, GAL, KKL, XTV, AWD, 4DS, SRO, KTE - all have business models that are hard to compare to competitors - or are hard to value unless you're some kind of expert - or are basically opportunistic rather than concrete (do we really need another way to watch crap TV)

Fintech is about mass markets / it has to attract extremely conservative organisations and customers to use it / it therefore needs to meet many stringent criteria - it needs to be inherently secure / robust / useful...

But more than anything - it needs to create $ value - chocolate factories make chocolate for a living - financial products make $ for a living

This should attract a very broad set of investors / and exceptionally high interest from institutions and sophs
