Tax is a point well made and understood.
My investment was circa $40k and so was my loan, giving me a circa $20k tax deduction.
I would happily deal with a legitamate organisation such as the ATO and pay them back $20k for the trouble rather than deal with GTP and the new owner of my loan which are dodgy for $40k.
