Your point is valid Molonski.
I think the broader issue is to appreciate that many(most) investors paid for the Investment using their own cash resources or other external borrowings.They,me, got stung,we lost our dough and we have no recourse to anyone (unless the class actions are successful or someone offers us some value for our trees,etc)
So you guys who took up the borrowing package from GTP appear to be in a favourable position.The Bank(s) might compromise,you will retain your deduction and you may be bought out.
I'm not bitter about this and wish you well.There are enough villains in this disaster who should really be accountable.Some are in PPPL.
