Toulouse is a very attractive city. I've been there twice now and felt safe on both occasions. The last time I noticed more North Africans. Quite a few look homeless and wandered around with dogs. Apparently, the police can't put you in gaol if you have a dog. (They would then have to look after the dog as well!) They say Adelaide is the city of churches. Who ever said that has obviously never been to Toulouse. There, the chuches are very, very old and very, very big. I did trips to Albi, Narbonne, Foix and Cahors. Any of those places would blow your mind away if all you have been used to is Melbourne, say.
