...and there is another person. This person is representative of a small group of people with tightly held opinions about a former prime minister. They were so much looking forward to having their opinions confirmed at this royal commission.

But they were wrong. The former prime minister showed very clearly that she had no case to answer. She owned the royal commission every second she occupied the witness stand. All of the rubbish and innuendo had no basis in fact and all the small group of people have now is their tightly held opinions. Many of them won't change their opinions because it isn't in their nature. They will continue tasting the bitterness of their failures at the Royal Commission into the foreseeable future.

It's all a bit sad really. They will throw a few angry barbs at people who gently point out their mistakes because in their minds they haven't made mistakes. They need to just get over it but they never will.
