Something else....people are talking about confiscating gold? my view on this thats impossible on a world wide scale and it could only be temporary..History proves that!..what about the aus$33 million purchased from the perth mint for an arab buyer or buyers in November/December 2008. Do you think that they would just hand their gold over.What about all the gold in India HA HA!! you can't change hundreds of years tradition passing gold down to the next generation.China is now a bigger gold buyer than India and the chinese government is encouraging gold sales to the populace presently. I would guess that most of the wealthy on this planet have some physical bullion holdings ......my experience is the more wealthy one is usually its harder to extract some of that wealth from them. (of course there are exceptions). I dont see them just turning over their bullion. Note to mention that some australians have gold bullion in their super fund ?? IF governments did try and confiscate gold I am sure most of the bullion would go underground until favourable conditions returned . just my take for what its worth regards rcj
