I dont think there is ever an excuse for hitting a bloke from behind or the side, no sympathy there. However there still and always will need to be a self defence case available. I never forgot snotting a bloke when I was young who threw a couple off wild ones at me , he went down like a tree and his head bounced off the footpath. I never slept that night and felt sick worrying about this grubs health , but I was no aggressor. Sometimes you can be wrong place wrong time jonny.Must be a case by case basis.
