Today (2nd Dec.2016) the ASX shows that only one (1) TIA share was traded at 62 cents. (if I am reading it correctly, the minimum value of $1 was paid for the purchase of the 62 cent share.)
Could someone please try to explain to me whether this is a common practice with other companies and what possibly could be the underlying strategy?
How could it come about?
What is being achieved through this action?
Would they be paying brokerage on top of their 62 cents (or $1)?
I honestly have no idea what is going on.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
