With all of this discussion about the way this has played out lets all be sure of one simple fact. Asciano is run/controlled by MR not by the puppet board.

All the rubish about the boards process of assessing buds e>t>c is exactly that - rubbish it was about them providing an air of corporate goverance nothing more.

The company has a board of only 4 people. He is the CEO and largest shareholder which means he can sit at the table with both hats on at the end of the day despite what he says.

None of the other 3 on the board hold other roles in AIO or major interests so at the end of the day it is his baby and they do what he says and when.

So really its currently about wether you can trust the company to go forward under him. Persoanlly I believe the company is good enough and the recovery will make this a great investment despite MR. The day to day team are obviously good as the company continues to do ok even in the downturn. So I am sticking with it.
