Both the continued delay in releasing the platinum results and the fact that Cornelius has not set a General Meeting date for shareholders to vote on Sylvania’s placement, suggests to me that a corporate deal is in the making.
This is the way I see it panning out:
• The spin-off of Platinum Mining Ventures (PMV) on the ASX will not proceed.
• SLV will propose a takeover of PMV and offer GAU shareholders a non-renouncable rights issue in SLV shares/options.
• The cash end of the transaction is SLV's recent proposed placement in GAU.
GAU will then peruse other objectives like the acquisition of Uranium interests in South Africa.
Any comments!
