i find it interesting that you pay no regard at all to anything that is fundamentaly related to the company. i get that for a lot of things, this wouldn't matter.

oct 1st is a pretty significant announcement. the results will likely/possibly cause a re-rating of the stock for better or for worse. should you be holding close to the time of the announcement, would you continue to hold if the chart showed to reason to sell, or would you sell out due to your limited knowledge of the fundamentals behind the company, to avoid the risk of the price tanking without warning? or would you expect that the chart signals would indicate the market reaction to the results, and would thus give you forewarning to buy, sell or hold?
