Another interesting point on this one. I was watching "your money" on foxtel on Tuesday. Tony Sage was being interviewed. He is the CEO of Cape Lambert (CFE). Depsey resources owns 1/3 of DMM. Dempsey is a subsidiary of Cape Lambert.
Tony Sage's comments were along the lines that they don't care about being miners producing the product, their expertise lies in proving up a resource and selling the resource once it reaches this point. They have the contacts and this is their strength.

Not sure if 1 and 1 equal 2 but perhaps this may be part of their exit strategy from DMM - ie selling it off once they have proven up the resource and created more value in it. Only time will tell......
