Plenty of gold companies went down on good news at the same time. When a sector is falling heavily, no one cares about news. Nothing new there, but on those heavy sell-offs some of us like to buy our preferred stocks.
Better now than when everyone else has been buying and the price is peaking.
In the short term no one cares about fundamentals.
In the long run, fundamentals are what matters.
As the sector recovers and traders /investors start to regain confidence, news and developments matter again.
I prefer stocks with good news and positive developments that offer strong value. ABU is delivering.

Not sure what your point is?

If they double or triple the mining inventory are you suggesting we will go lower again simply because we dropped after the last upgrade?
Are we meant to ignore very good news and a likely resource upgrade because the sp dropped on the last upgrade which came out when the sector was falling?
The more the resource grows the stronger the long term value and the higher the sp target will be- regardless of what happened after the last resource upgrade.
We are in a very clear long term uptrend (around 3 years), have now broken the 6 month down trend and have just started a short term up trend.
News flow is strongly positive.
Too early to be sure we will keep trending up, but you can never be sure of that.

When are we meant to turn positive?
After the sp has increased a further 20%, 40% or does it need to break the old high of 8c before we can be positive?

If you think this is a problem, why do you own stock and why the L/T buy sentiment?

Some of us like to buy at an earlier stage when there is much more upside as long as we are comfortable with the level of risk.
