chadshare..... WOW and COLES are also miserable that an increasing amount of consumers are shopping at ALDI.
WOW and COLES do not want to compete/challenge the ALDI model in the long term.
As I have posted recently, WOW and COLES will attempt to differentiate themselves and not get involved in a prolonged price war on like for like BASIC items.
WOW /COLES will introduce a range of stores based on their demographics. A rating of 1-4 is my guess.
For example , at the extreme, a store in BROADMEADOWS will always have baked beans on special , but a store in TOORAK will have a dedicated cheese room and dry aged beef room.
