At this point it is purely delaying tactics through use of the judicial system. Ultimately it will not stop the mine going ahead at worst the judge corrects a technicality (most unlikely). The tactic is to delay and disrupt to the point where no one wants to invest in Tasmania and the eco warriors can live out their existence on welfare and support from the rest of the country. So far it is working well for them. Even if the appeal is not heard it adds months to the delay. If you where an outside investor would you invest in Tassie?

This is a no loose situation for SJ, he won't pay a penny and he continues to get the attention he craves. The system is geared to support him, a system that your taxes pay for by the way.

This appeal is not against VMS, or the minister, it is against a fed court judge which has zero chance of being overturned, but it that's not the aim...it is all about delay and deterrent. The lawyers get paid anyway and up front, and SJ will draw his wages too, that's where the donations go. TNC net bank balance will remain at zero. When they loose or withdraw they declare bankruptcy and go onto the next delaying tactic.

This is the system, it is law and it is there to be abused if you so choose. And remember you voted for it and your taxes pay for it.
