Worth noting that it is not just the nickel price. Most of the PGE value is in the Pd which makes up more than half of the PGEs by weight. Over a third of the Pd supply comes from Russia and it’s price has understandably risen sharply.
Regardless, I’d be much happier if Russia just went home, prices dropped back and we were left with a marginal deposit trying to get legs.
