And another thought... Lithium isn't just involved in new EVs. A lot of classic cars could be converted to electric as the cost of petrochemicals inevitably increases. I myself would definitely consider converting my BMW once the diesel engine wears out, because it's a great little car to drive and I love the style too... so don't just look at new EV sales.
