Extremadura New Energies has already registered with the Board the request to exploit the Valdeflores lithium deposit, in Cáceres. In practice, it is equivalent to initiating the request for both the license to operate the mine and to start up the attached lithium hydroxide processing plant. Its CEO, Ramón Jiménez, believes that the first productions could begin to come out in 2027, and points out that despite the fact that the project covers 30 years, there could be lithium for another 30.
