Quote "...offers next to Zero economic benefit to mine..." - you must have had a lot of wine when writting that post.
As you learnt at your uni the economic benefit can only be demonstrated through feasibility studies... and does not depend on someone's opinion whether the grade is low or high or whether the resource is big or small...
It looks like you would like to pump INF but I would point you to two important details that you forgot to mention in your opening post:
1. resolute NO from the local council and people, refusal to change the development plan (i.e. to allow mining) due to proximity to town
2. discovery and rapid development of closeby Li resource at Canaveral - including battery plant.. still in Extremadura
