yeah interesting, my read if these articles is that down yoy and in an extended down turn since covid spurt. up as expected mom due to season with supportive weather.
Possible higher traffic is people are shopping around more, not just buying first or second find. Despite higher traffic yoy sales and revenues down. 8.7 inflation in uk leave people cutting back on big ticket items lower expendable income, buying yellow lable food, demand for required new season cloths and people shopping bargains . Not really throwing extra cash at cloths. And at home here in Aust even my ex who uses shopping cloths instead of alcohol/gambling is having to cut back on her spend. Well actually I think she increased the alcohol intake to replace the cloths a bit.
