Very little to complain about with Etrade. I hardly ever have any problems. Any I have had have been small, issues and they bend over backwards to help.
The complaints you might have heard might be when they integrated all the clients of the broker they bought out (forget the name)
They had some trouble over a few days as they migrated the accounts ... frustrating of the account holders, but a technical glitch that was fixed.
