T+3 trading isn't margin lending. It's a schmucks game to play stocks with money you don't have. Wait until you save up a large enough stake debt free to trade 100% in cash or continue paper trading.
Then once you have 100k , sound capital management,technique and trading plan etc look at a margin account as that will also allow you to short.
