While I love anecdotal stories, and this could possibly be a true reflection of the status quo, I am not too sure if the analysis is correct.
As ppl shift to online (specifically for COVID), I would assume pure online retailers are better equipped than other retailers that rely on both streams.
T&W (among others) should be better placed as this exactly what they do. Whether it be UX, marketing, supply chain - this would be a bigger priority for T&W than Fantastic Furniture etc. Yes, I too am wary of how much ppl will buy home decor products in an economic downturn. Then again, I assume T&W would update us accordingly if something was unusual during this period - which has not been the case.
