Have you seen how well they conquered Canada?
Answer: very, very distant from how victorious they were in North America. Canada is a big land mass with a tiny population geographically comparable to Australia, population is spread out far and wide. Online retail penetration roughly similar to Australia. Real estate prices similar to Australia. Demographics roughly equal to us. Purchasing power and income taxes somewhat similar. Amazon is not the biggest thing there is in retail in Canada ... ask most Canadians. I don't think Amazon changed their lives at all. And the only reason some people use it in Canada is because there are no alternatives.
We have alternatives in Australia.
