only 10 percent population invest in property

just reviewed jan sommers book........building wealth in changing times.....written in 1994..........amongst using figures for the past 30 years, with inflation in the whitlam era of 11%....and interest rates of 15%.......you could still make a load of money from property investing....interesting the figures she used in 1994 to buy a house was 140,000 and the projected value after 10 years is 298,000...........sounds about right, spot on actually...........
****but the biggest thing I picked up now was only 10% of the population will actually invest in property..........whole load of excuses but manly they are scared of debt !
and that means apart from their own home.....different to an investment property........90% of the population will not invest in property........never ever ever.........but thats fine, they will rent the property that we prop investors have available.
ABS figures released last week had home owners still at roughly 60% of total borrowings........that leaves a whopping 40% of the population as non home owners and non prop investors......thats a whopping number needing a rental property !
    cheers
