While it is possible that MUS being new might cause concern about the grading, any of the serious buyers are going to make their own judgement of the quality anyway. Unless MUS really mucks up the grading the buyers will be able to look past any difference between GEM’s and MUS’s systems.

There is also the other possibility that the buyers will be extra supportive of MUS just to ensure they have another large player in the market. If I was a buyer I would be going to MUS’s auction just so I have a choice in the future - the last thing I would want would to be at the mercy of Pallinghurst.
