Why short undesirable shares or companies in bad shape? Shorters shorting good shares knowing it'd go back up. People can see the shares are undervalued and wanting to buy them. The more outrageous the better. As long as it doesn't cause the share price to collapse. They can sell them high, buy more shares back low. The lower the price the more shares they can accumulate with the same amount of capital they started with. You need to be the Hunt Brothers to play big and over a long period of time.
