I was out all day yesterday and therefore wasn't able to keep my hawkeyes on the trading, so I do not whether it was a buyer or seller (although I presume seller) who opened the action and traded one thousand (count them... 1,000) units for the grand total of seventeen dollars ($17.00).
For myself I would be paying nearly twice as much as that in brokerage, and I think we can fairly safely assume that the object of the sale was neither to make money nor because of a shortage of ready cash.
Of course it did leave the SP in the red by -.003 for about 3 hours. Now why would anyone do that? (A rhetorical question.)
