I think Abbott was floating the idea of a show of hands and had to pull back because of perceptions by backbenchers that this was bully boy tactics.
He also was "verbaling" Bishop by requiring her statements about Cabinet loyalty...this also did not go down well.
Don't like his chances of either surviving the challenge on Monday or lasting much longer if if he does.
