I would never 'hope' for something such as sanctions against a country, because ultimately you are talking about people's lives. Sanctions is the modern equivalent of sieges in the middle ages, except they are economical rather than existential in nature. But its still a form of oppression that targets entire populations of peoples, regardless of their political persuasions.

Personally I hope the crisis resolves amicably without the need for further sanctions against our fellow human beings in Russia.

Plus, we don't need sanctions against Russia for this crisis to result in an upside for PDN. It's true that sanctions may provide a short to medium term upside, but when investing its important to focus on the long term. And the Ukraine crisis has the potential to lead to a significant shift in EU energy policy and perhaps an acceptance that greater investment in nuclear power plants is necessary to obtain energy dependence from Russia.
