Labrecque52, there's almost always value in the candid opinions of people who know more. The old saying "Trust, but verify" comes to mind.

As a non-expert in many things it's often difficult to discern where the truth ends and marketing fluff begins, we're all aware every PR and article is pushed by it's own agenda. Plus, not all quality companies toot their own horn. In fact people here often people relish in the fact that their favourite companies are 'under the radar' when that allows them to build greater positions.

There is no shame in asking questions. Mate every so often I ask a question I already have answers for just to see some different perspectives, or to see if there's somebody who knows more! Sometimes a seemingly basic question to the right person can add a lot of context and clarity to our own research, and might occasionally lead us to something we may never have stumbled upon on our own.
