Up until recently every 2nd day there would be an article on the next best thing replacing Lithium or Graphite in EV Batteries etc. Years ago the same thing happened in relation to ICE's, everyone had a substitute or world beating improvement. Yep, ICE's are on the way out after a 100 plus years. It will not take that long for EV's as rates of change are quicker now but it takes a hell of a lot more than a good idea to disrupt a 'new' industry which has just sunk billions/trillions of fresh bank notes into EV components.
Ask anyone who has lost a bundle investing in the next best thing. There are plenty - me included.
TLG is working on a solid state battery and eventually we may see Graphene included..
