ooaminna 2

During the past few weeks there has been much speculation about the drilling program. In Fridays BRR interview JH elected Ooaminna 2 as being the conventional well to spud in the drilling program that OPCOM is to approve in the next 2 weeks.

Ooaminna 2 is in EP82 and has been reported by CTP in various anouncements to hold betweem 1.9 to 2.2 TCF UGIIP.
The previous well in the area Ooaminna 1 flowed gas to surface.

EP82 is quite close to Alice Springs and not that far to the existing gas pipeline infrustructure. From maps provided by CTP there has been extensive semestic run over the prospect and there are some more intensive semestic lines planned.

JH has stated that he would like to drill and have returns from prospects drilled in the initial campaign ASAP to assist in propelling CTP forward.

With experts from all JV partners reviewing data in respect of CTP's current prospects I can only think that the experts concur that Ooraminna 2 Is ready to spud and that it must be a better bet that Magee etc.

A question to some of you who understand the JROC code is....If Ooraminna 2 flows and flows at commercial quantities how is the TCF of Gas discovered at 2P or 3P levels measured and/or would CTP need to drill a number of wells in the field to prove up or commercialise the resource....

Also assuming successful results from the well how long would it take to commercialise the field?
