Have to say though, some safety rules are over the top.
I need a crane to lift some big plastic components off a truck, not that heavy. Crane company insist on sending 2 riggers, of course I had to advise where they could attach slings.
Another occasion need a crane to lift/drag a pontoon partly a up a boat ramp, they insist sending a rigger but the rigger wouldn't get on the pontoon to attach or remove the slings. Did it myself, was just annoyed I was paying for some one to do nothing.
