Once a commodity becomes cheap, like shale gas in the USA it becomes uneconomic to produce.Shale-gas wells with fraccing costs are normally expensive to drill, especially when you go down 8000 to 10000' & then throw in a horizontal.
Kits are now being produced to convert diesel engines to CNG use---mainly in the transport industry.
Low gas prices is a North American over supply problem.
At the end of the day it will be those that produce coal most efficiently that will survive---hope CCC will be one of those.
It pays to be diversified oil/gas--uranium & coal.
