Sorry to intrude. I don't hold BGS stock, but am following the story with interest.
I find it amusing that someone has highlighted a potential tax issue in Mali that amounts to...what...$100 million-ish? Well, one of the political parties in WA is muttering about substantially increasing the tax paid by particular mining companies to the tune of almost $1 billion per annum. Oh, and the WA Lib Government raised royalties on a particular sector of the industry in late 2011 and is now attempting to renegotiate payment terms for those same royalties.
Sovereign risk, anyone?
