    Think the whole story is of little consequence. Telstra has had entire exchanges catch fire and much more frequent/significant outages. Likely happens to all carriers, but Voda and Telstra receive specific attention.

    Knowing the space intimately due to my work, I don't think Telstra's outages are all in the past.

    Vodafone needs to basically be perfect to be perceived as middle of the road. Telstra needs a meltdown to be considered average, even at premium prices. Funny situation really.
