I know what they do with it, but my comment was to do with locating reserves strategically. Since there's no refinery in SA, it wouldn't seem to be particularly strategic to store oil there, a long way from the nearest refinery in Victoria. Having said that though, who knows what the overriding criteria is for choosing a location, if . It seems the Govt is going to rely on the private sector for this, and private enterprise has very different strategic drivers.
