Is it just me, or is there a lack of clarity on report of Lynas been "iced" as reported in SMH this morning? "Put on hold", not cancelled; "plan to move forward on the award", not start over and "still under active solicitation", I believe most assumed they already were doing that and not 1, 2 and all done.
"On April 29, the Pentagon informed applicants that the decision had beenput on hold until further research can be conducted,” according to a document seen by Reuters. Lynas confirmed the Pentagon’s move in a statement on Friday.
MP Materials did not respond to requests for comment.
The document added that the Pentagon plans to move forward on the awardonce the additional research is complete. It was not clear what type of further research the military could conduct.
The U.S. military office overseeing the award said it isstill under active solicitation and declined further comment. The Pentagon’s headquarters did not respond to requests for comment."
