I happen to disagree with you strongly. The change in OHS culture in the Australian construction industry was well overdue, and besides enabling many that would not otherwise, to go home alive at the end of the day, and with a full complement of limbs. I am of the opinion that toolbox meetings etc are not significant cost burdens and probably actually result general improvements and less time and resource wastage.
Woodside's well known (in the industry) problems are quite different, a unique Australian manifestation of the Shell bureacratic culture of drones.
As for slugcatchers tirade about crossing St Georges terrace, there are a couple of blackspots in the vicinity which I understand have resulted over the years in multiple fatalities in the Woodside/Transfield Woreley camps alone.
