re: sterling comment on chinguetti I don't disagree that improvement in safety performance was required. It has now reached a point where innovation is stifled. I'm sure a JSA would have concluded that Cook's trip to Australia and NASA's trips into space are too risky for Australians.

In many instances, safety is used by the workers as an industrial tool to sit in the sheds whilst real safety initiatives such as random drug and alchohol testing are fiercely resisted in some states.
