re: ohs I think the article does make an interesting point that there appears to be a potential clash between Voelte's can do attitude and Woodsides Shell inspired safety mantra.
The interesting thing is now Keith Spence has been given the lateral arabesque Voelte will have much more influence on operational mattters including OH&S. NASA may have got men to the moon, but they have also shown when the safety culture is wrong bad things eventually happen. The test for Voelte is whether he can fire up the woodside machine while still providing the required leadership in OH&S. The jury is out on this but we must remember who the biggest shareholder is.
